The new car park would have Brighton & Hove Albion's logo, a silver facade and a live green wall to the south than 400 car parking spaces have been lost on the Bennett's Field, next to the stadium, after Lewes District Council approved a plan to build housing for 555 field is for the use of University of Sussex and University of Brighton. In light of this, the football club's planning agent DMH Stallard wrote in the planning application the loss of the Bennett's Field site had "caused significant issues" for the stadium on matchdays. "The majority of the applicant's matchday and non-matchday parking is leased from surrounding landholders, which puts this parking at threat in the future should those landholders not agree lease renewals," they added."The likelihood of spaces being lost continues to rise, given the increasing demand for brownfield space within urban areas."
